SFU Fun Run

OBJECTIVE:

To promote a wellness event for a cause.

Rain or shine! Runners started coming at 4:30 am for the 5:00 am gun start. The gun start was moved to 5:15 am for 5k until the rain had to stop pouring. After 15 minutes, the runners for the 3k event were asked to prepare. The participants were students from SFU and Southville International Schools and Colleges(SISC) taking up P.E. and NSTP and faculty and staff. The sponsors for the event were Creative Systems, Pepsi Cola and The Village.

The first one to finish was Denn Rabo for the 5k category, who finished the run in 18 minutes. The second place went to John Gumatay (SISC) who is taking up Entrepreneurship and the 3rd plance went to Christmie Jonson (SISC)who is taking up Nursing. The winners for the 3k category are Katt Christine Aclo, Anthony Grate (SFU) and Allain Lopez (SFU) and Anthony Grate (SFU) for 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The proceeds of the event will be donated to the College Outreach Program of SISC.
