Being an intern for Solaire Resort and Casino Manila was really a fun and remarkable experience. I underwent my internship in the Finance Department (Casino Accounting). The tasks assigned to me were far from what I have expected because I thought that I would spend most of my time dealing with financial statements and such.

However, since I was assigned to the Casino Accounting Team, I did things which were different from what I thought I would actually be doing. The usual things assigned to me were to encode and check some of the documents that come in and out of the casino. I enjoyed every moment of it because of the different things that I learned from my teammates. Every time they assigned me a new task, they always gave me a brief but very detailed information about its importance and what I need to accomplish. This made me appreciate all the tasks that they assigned to me. In addition to that, my supervisor and teammates were really approachable and helpful. They were always there to assist me whenever I had problems with my tasks.

The internship experience has also given me the opportunity to meet new friends, thus, I was able to improve my communication skills. Moreover, the whole experience helped me develop the way I manage my time and it also helped me cope with pressure and stress.

SISFU has given me the necessary knowledge that I needed to successfully finish my internship. This internship program has actually given me a taste of what the real world is like. Because of what I have experienced as an intern, I was able to grasp the essence of the corporate world, which will really help me when I finish my studies and actually pursue my chosen career.
