Solaire Resort and Casino is known to be a world class organization. I am very lucky to have been accepted by such an organization, and I’ve definitely learned a lot of things during my stay.
Despite being a Marketing major, I was first assigned to the Finance Department specifically in the Fixed Assets Team. My first day was a bit uncomfortable since I was surrounded with people who are knowledgeable in the field of finance, and I am definitely not comfortable in this field. I was grateful to have met people who are approachable and friendly. I was able to learn a lot in this department, especially with tasks like scanning and making backup copies of numerous vouchers that the finance department would need later on, I will also be encoding numerous data files that will later on be arranged in an Excel file.
After finishing 100 hours in the Finance Department, as part of my agreement with Sir Alan, I am now being transferred to the Marketing Department. I did coverage for all events and concerts that will be held in/by Solaire, posting pictures, questions and artworks on our Social Media sites, replying to incoming messages, assisting managers on paper works and so forth. I learned so much during my stay here in Solaire Resorts & Casino, I am very happy and pleased that my level of maturity has grown due to my experience here! I am very thankful to all the people I have met, especially to my bosses both in the Finance and Marketing department!
