How has SISFU helped in my career?

SISFU helped me discover the greater things I am capable of doing. The competent professors and mentors portrayed a continuum of the nature, essentials, and complexities of business and its globally changing demands; which shaped me to be more adaptive to changes and prepare for unforeseen events. In my three years of stay at SISFU, through EdExcel and the University of Chester, I became more efficient in working under pressure, managing time effectively, learning independently, and being able to apply these to my work practices.

SISFU instilled in me a thorough understanding of the corporate world and helped set me on the right path in my early career.

What am I currently doing at work?

Presently, I am working on projects for a London-based consulting firm in Doha. I am engaged with a team of business consultants working on feasibility studies, business plans, market research, and other business advisory services. I am also being trained to work on business process reengineering and internal audit procedures. It has been great to expand my knowledge even more on the finance and business consulting since I get to work with various industries and nature of businesses.

What is my advice to current/future students?

The most vital part of your early career will start from knowing yourself and identifying your goals. When you identify the gaps between the present and your desired future, it is definitely less difficult to work your way up. I strongly advise students to stay connected and committed with their ambitions. As a student in SISFU, academic challenges are, in times, demanding and intense - step outside of your comfort zone and explore, be enthusiastic to learn, learn to be independent, stay curious, and just enjoy your life in the university.
