Double-Bang CEO Forums Anchor Global Competitiveness

A back to back feature of CEO forums happened last Friday, April 26, 2019 at the Luxembourg Hall. The two groups consist of Grade 12 students who have, after an exhaustive 3-month preparation, named their events EYI (Everything You Imagine) and AXIOS.
Over a hundred and sixty attended the event, where audiences heard different competencies of leadership, the challenges of becoming a successful CEO, and the roots of know-how in various industries from the distinguished presenters. The highlights of the activity were first, truly global business ideas, second, the power, freedom, and responsibility of entrepreneurship, and third, the flexibility of creative freelancing. The six expert speakers were:
TEAM EYI- Mr. Angus Yau, Director and CEO of Alibaton Construction
- Ms. Michelle Brillante, Managing Director of Goetz Moving and Storage, Inc.
- Atty. Giselle Muñoz, Legal Counsel of Goetz Moving and Storage Inc.
- Ms. Ellen Samano, Sparks Comm Manila
TEAM AXIOS
- Ms. Alia Ortega, Visual artist, Producer, Writer of Freelance Creative
- Mr. Joel Aguada, CEO of Syudad Franchise Inc.
The 1st group, EYI, embarked the theme of "The Pursuit of Business Beyond: A Leap to Global" because of their belief that with great diligence, preparation, dedication, and perseverance in the face of challenges, anyone can find success in the international market.
On the other hand, the second group dubbed as “AXIOS,” which means “worthy,” in Greek terms focused on the theme, “21st Century Core Competencies for Strategic Global Business and Human Capital” which focused on global standards and to what Filipinos should aspire in order to attain global standards.
In addition to the first CEO forum which happened two weeks ago, these events continue to enhance the students critical thinking in their following subjects: Business Enterprise Simulation / Managing a Successful Business Project, Inquiries, Investigation, and Immersion, Filipino, and Operations and Management.
Event participants included students of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC), International Baccalaureate (IB), South Mansfield College, students from other schools and Southville International School affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU) students and staffs, businessmen, and parents. It was also attended by several sponsors and was spiced up with some raffle draws and exciting prizes.
“It is a great opportunity for me as a business student to actually hear meaningful insight from different personalities since most of them are businessmen. I really learned a lot during both events, because both of those events have different themes, being globally competitive and a student like me who wants to go abroad helps us by giving us some tips.” said Micah Mijares, Business Student, SISFU.
