1st Induction and Handover Ceremony | CLUB SERVICE

September 24, 2019

The 21st of September 2019 was a very special day for the officers of the Rotaract Club of SISFU, as the club had their very 1st Induction and Handover Ceremony held at Bistro Lima, Southville International School affiliated with Foreign Universities.

The event was graced by the presence of Miko Jimenez, the president of the Rotary Club of Makati Salcedo, which is the sponsoring Rotary Club of Rotaract SISFU. Rotarian Darling De Jesus was also present during the event. The District Officers of District 3830, DRR John Philip Chan, DDRE Rolf Mark Llanto, DRRN Louize Laine Antonio and DRAR (MUNPARLA) was present during the event.

Mrs. Carol R. Pido, Director for Student Affairs, Dr. Jerry Aguilar, Vice President for Academic Support and Dr. Melva M. Diamante, SISFU President, were all present to give their support to Rotaract. Previous officers of Rotaract SISFU, Joseph Cinco (Vice President 2018-2019, Trisha Dindore (President 2016-2017; Vice President 2017-2018), Nicole Villamor (PRO 2017-2018) and Carlos Gervacio (PRO 2015-2016; Secretary 2016-2017) were also present at the event to show their support for the incoming officers for the year 2019-2020.

During the event, the officers and members were able to hear a very inspiring speech from DRR Philip, on his journey in Rotaract, and gave us insights and tips when it comes to making a difference, not just in the community but ourselves as well. Immediate Past President Aiko Iwata from Rotary Year 2018-2019, also gave her valedictory speech, which was followed by the Handover Ceremony, wherein the bell and club banner was passed onto Champion President Celine Go.

TCP Miko Jimenez did the honors of charging the officers and reminding them of what their role is in the organization, and were then officially inducted as officers by DRR Philip. Champion President Celine Go gave her inaugural speech, which was followed by the charging of members done by DRAR Vincent and then the induction of members done by DRAR Louize.

Apart from having the induction and handover ceremony, the Rotaract Club of SISFU had their friendship signing with the Rotaract Club of Makati West and the Rotaract Club of Miraculous Medals-Sucat. This was truly a great opportunity for the Rotaract Club of SISFU to build partnerships with other clubs in District 3830 for future projects and events.

The event was not just a special moment for the officers but the members as well, it was truly a great way of starting the Champion Rotary Year 2019 - 2020.
