Dr. Nancy De Guia's Visit to De Montfort University

Southville International School affiliated with Foreign (SISFU) is a proud partner of De Montfort University (DMU) – a prime university located in Leicester, United Kingdom. It’s one of the few universities in the world to be ranked with 5 Stars in excellency by the QS Stars Rating System and was awarded the highest possible rating for 5 categories. As their centre for education, SISFU ensures that we maintain this standard and deliver the best of UK curriculum in the Philippines to our students.

One of our efforts to foster collaboration and nurture transformative education are informative visits by faculty and staff from both institutions and, as such, my time at DMU’s campus was nothing short of an eye-opener. I was immediately struck by the seamless fusion of modern and historic architecture, a testament to the institution's rich heritage and its forward-looking approach to education. The state-of-the-art facilities, which cater to the diverse needs of students hailing from all corners of the world. With a vibrant community of international students, DMU truly embraces diversity and inclusivity, creating an environment where individuals from different cultures and backgrounds come together to share knowledge and experiences.

During my visit, I had the pleasure of engaging with some of the students from SISFU. Their firsthand accounts validated the exceptional student experience at DMU. They spoke passionately about the engaging student life and the supportive learning environment that empowers them with the necessary tools for success. It was evident that DMU is not just a university; it is a haven where every student can unleash their potential and become the best version of themselves. Their enthusiasm for the future after graduation is a testament to the transformative power of education at DMU. Graduates from this institution leave with not only a degree but also a profound sense of purpose and readiness to make a positive impact in their respective fields.

The willingness of SISFU students to face the challenges of moving across the globe ascertains our institution’s international curriculum and relentless academic support. While we have made it possible to earn global qualifications in the country, it is also our mission to guide our students towards further education outside the Philippines. Meeting our students in a wider and more diverse landscape was truly a rewarding experience!
