Global Dimensions Olympiad Semifinals 2013
Every year, SFU holds a Global Dimensions Olympiad event amongst gifted high school seniors in search of the next batch of scholars.
There are two parts of the event. First we invite the students who belong to the top 10% of the graduating class to take an exam, then the top 6 schools will go head to head in a competition to get scholarships. Holding the title of the first two championship trophies are Chiang Kai Shek College and Makati Science High School. The 6 schools who make it to the final round will all receive scholarships - 50% for the finalists and 100% for the champions.
This year, the 13th GDO exam took place on Saturday 23rd November 2013 at the SFU campus with The Rotary Club of Makati Salcedo. Determined to get through to the next phase, students from far afield woke up extra early as they traveled from as far as Batangas and Pangasinan.
Results from the GDO exam will be released in the 3rd week of December, then we will then announce the top 6 schools that are qualified to enter the competition to be held on February 8th at our campus.
