Parents' and Students' Recognition Night
Jampacked. Every seat was taken. Standing room only.
This was the scene on March 10, 2012 at the Multi-purpose Hall of SFU during the celebration of the Parents’ and Students’ Recognition.
One important milestone parents look forward to is the achievement of their sons/daughters. Any surprising news coming from the school becomes an extraordinary event.
The awards were divided into Dean’s List and President’s List. Academic awards for the last 3 terms were awarded to 28% of the student population; 12% received a perfect attendance award; and students who excelled in extra-curricular activities were also recognized in the areas of leadership and achievements. Two organizations received an award as well, namely, Rotaract Club, as the best organization for this school year and the Yearbook committee, as the runner up.
Dr. Diamante, SFU President, gave the welcome remarks. Mr. Leo Anoche gave updates for the School of Business and Computing, while Mrs. Carol Pido gave updates for the School of Hospitality Management.
Consultation with parents and faculty followed while Hospitality Management students were busy serving cocktails to parents and guests.
