General Assembly
 

On the afternoon of November 18, 2022, the Rotaract Club of SISFU held its first General Assembly: The Moments We Live For! Aside from welcoming the members, the event highlighted the history of the Rotaract Club of SISFU and their future events.

The General Assembly started off with warm welcomes from the host, Lorenzo Viola, Rotaract’s Finance and Community Service Director. Afterwards, the President, Mearah Jane Sanchez, took the stage for the Call to Order, which was followed by the recitation of the 4-way Test. Then, the opening remarks were delivered by Geryna Therese Pereyra, Rotaract Club of SISFU’s Immediate Past President. In her speech, she talked about how her Rotaract journey had been enlightening, especially knowing that every member of the Rotaract from different districts and clubs share the same vision. To her, “every rotary year is a chance to create new legacies and memories together.” Geryna is very proud of this year’s officers for taking the role and wishes them the very best!

For the ice breaker game, the members and officers get to know each other better by showing one picture from their mobile phones that best describes themselves and what they love! It was then followed by a short presentation about the Rotaract Club of SISFU and its past successful events, including FUNDTheMental (mental health awareness fundraiser and webinar); Christmas Drive; Love on a Plate (fundraising); and Juan Action (Awareness on ending polio). The future events that every Rotaractors should look forward to are: Christmas Drive 2022; Ready, Set, Pro! (Workforce development); Coastal Clean-Up Drive; Embrace Your Race; and FUNDTheMental 2023.

In addition to the initial icebreaker, the Rotaract Club prepared another complex yet interesting game — Rebus Puzzles, which were met with a fun and exciting response from the audience. To wrap things up, the assembly ended with a raffle.
