SISFU Preparatory Programme 2017

SISFU Preparatory Programme 2017

Last week marked the official beginning of Academic Year 2017-2018. Held last 10-11 July 2017 was the SISFU Preparatory Programme (SPP) – an academic orientation for new senior high school and college students.

The new students were warmly welcomed by the SISFU community. The students were filled in with school processes and core values by the Heads of Schools. This is to equip them with proper knowledge and motivation as they start a new at SISFU.

Moreover, the new students met with their respective Deans and Heads for an open forum, which allowed them to gain deeper understanding and insight into their academic tracks. Later that day, an orientation was held solely for the parents for the same intent.

New students were able to engage in fun activities together with the incoming grade 12, second year and third year volunteers and leaders. Altogether they enjoyed films, video games and ice breakers that came with prizes and giveaways.

Apart from this, the new students were given a chance to connect with student leaders to be introduced to the student organizations. At SISFU, we encourage students to participate in extra-curricular and student-led activities. This is to expose them to a diverse range of interests for them to explore. We believe that this also serves as a training ground for them to practice personal management and team-building.

On the eve of the last day of SPP, everyone danced the night away in the Acquaintance Party. During the eventful two-day programme, connections and bonds were built. SPP is essentially a great way to kick off the incoming academic year.

To all the new students, welcome to the SISFU community and we wish you good luck on your journey towards becoming global leaders and professionals.
