Showcasing her capacity for songwriting with her latest single, “Umibig Muli”, Janine continues to grow after her debut single “Fall” released in 2017.

With a face-to-face interview Janine Tenoso shared her insights and life experiences with these topics:

AMIDST HER WORK, WHY DID SHE CHOOSE TO TAKE THE ONLINE BLENDED LEARNING PROGRAMME?
“I choose OBL because it is the most convenient for me because I am an artist / student and my schedule is very tight. But because of the OBL Programme, it offers me the chance to study with a flexible schedule”.

WHY SISFU-SOUTHVILLE IS HER CHOICE?
“SISFU-Southville has been my first choice, ever since. I spent my first year in college in this community and suddenly stopped when I joined the music industry. Now I have chosen to study again, for I know that I will be able to manage my studies with this kind of school, since it offers a flexible schedule through the pioneering Online Blended Learning Programme.”

WHAT INSPIRED HER TO KEEP STUDYING IN SPITE OF HER HECTIC PROFESSIONAL SCHEDULE?
“What inspired me to keep studying in spite of my hectic schedule is that my overall goal as a student and as a professional is to really finish my studies while working to help my mom with her business, that is why I took up Business Management.

My sister also inspired me because she is a working student and graduated with flying colors and she is also an artist! So If my sister can do it, I can do it. It became an inspiration for me”.

HER CHOSEN PROGRAMME AT SISFU AND WHY
“My course in SISFU-Southville is UK Business Management and I chose it because it’s broad. It covers a lot of topics and it is for “Business” , since my mom and sister have a business it is a way to help them.”

WHAT WAS IT LIKE TO WIN THE MOR’s 101.1 OPM SONG REVIVAL OF THE YEAR AWARD?
“Winning it for “Di Na Muli”, an official soundtrack for the Filipino Movie Sid and Aya is really overwhelming. I never thought that I’d be able to get that far, but it is also a motivation to me. Since it was given to me, I was also given another chance to work harder and be better as an artist, to perform and become much stronger than I was before. I am just grateful and I can’t wait for more. Hopefully the next one will be something that I have written and for now I am just really thankful.”

6 NOMINATIONS FROM A PRESTIGIOUS AWARD-GIVING BODY: AWIT AWARDS
“I didn’t expect it to be six! I was just expecting one. It is a prestigious award-giving body. I am also thankful for VIVA Productions and to my family”

WHAT WILL JANINE DO NOW?
“I will manage my studies, finish this degree that I have, and at the same time I will continue my career in the music industry, promote and make an album, produce more singles or maybe even acting. Lastly, focus on the business! It’s like Student-Business-Art! And I am really excited!“.
