DMU GLOBAL 2020: A DAY TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Business SISFU students and Enterprise students from De Montfort University, are now official taking part in 'A day to make a difference' this January 2020. This project, in line with the DMULocal will see students working within the local community in Metro Manilla to offer support in areas such as sustainable living and Education.
It is aimed at a longer-term outreach programme with then be developed for DMU and SISFU students to volunteer their time over the coming years.
For the first 3 days, last January 3 marked as their first day of the visit here in the Philippines, DMU Global students visit SISFU & Tagaytay’s Taal Volcano and Ashong’s Sustainable Flower Farm.
The next day, DMU Global students and SISFU DMU students explore Old Manila, Intramuros, and Divisoria and experiencing Philippines' one of the largest multinational fast-food chains - Jollibee.
Day 3 is an opportunity for the DMU Global Students to visit Splash Island, getting some fun in the sun. And now down to their 4th day, DMU Global SISFU DMU students will be visiting Sykes, an industry- leading Business Process outsourcing company, to learn about the impact of BPO worldwide and Sykes Sustainability effort.
