De Montfort University, UK Donates for Typhoon Odette Relief

SISFU and its sister schools in the Southville Global Education Network have been working hard to collect donations for relief and rebuilding efforts in the wake of Typhoon Odette. Through the Southville for Others (SFO) charitable giving campaign, over P350,000 has been raised by the Southville community.

SISFU’s transnational education partner, De Montfort University, has also been moved by the plight of those affected by the disaster. In an effort led by Professor Ed Thompson, and joined by Prof. Angie Worwood, Prof. Dyneshia Johnson, and Ms. Sadia of Batool’s Hope Charity, De Montfort University raised an additional P75,000 in donations for those in need. De Montfort University is a leader in transnational education, a United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Hub institution, and SISFU is proud to be its learning partner in the Philippines. Even more proud today, when we see people halfway around the globe giving to help those in need.

Together, SISFU and DMU will continue to work for a brighter future for the next generation.
