Philippine Food Expo 2024

Last April 2024, a remarkable three-day culinary affair was held at The World Trade Center. The Philippine Food Expo 2024, which was on its 16th successful run was an anticipated gathering of both culinary professionals and enthusiasts. The event was filled with gustatory exhibits, shows, and demonstrations which showcased the unique and rich Filipino food scene.

Various competitions were also held for students from different culinary schools to showcase their skills and talents. This year, SISFU had the honor of participating in different events of the culinary showcase. Here are the names of our participating CIS students and chefs and their culinary entries:

Last March 23, 2024, the culminating event was held at SISFU’s Luxembourg Hall. In attendance were members of RCMS and SIFU led by RCMS President Ms. Pamela-Ruth Esquivel, CPA, PP Dr. Rod Santos, PP Richie Marquez, and SISFU Chairman Dr. Melva M. Diamante. Quiz Master Dr. Rolly S. Donato was tasked to lead the games for the top five (5) schools in academic competition including an oral competition on the following topics:

Healthy Pasta: Chef Ma. Cecilia Belleza and Ruth Riogelon

Tortelini Moringga Bam-I with Shrimp and Kesong Puti

Modern Filipino Dessert: Chef Rina Sarreal and Ashanthie Tesorero

Langka bitcho-bitcho with Butterscotch Filling

Batwan chiffon cake with Tamarind Sauce

Coconut Cream Pie with Batwan Custard

Mystery Ingredient: Chef Joseph Revadillo and CIS Paladin Ronaldo Torrecampo

Appetizer: Fresh Lumpia

Main Course: Kansi Steak with Kangkong Mashed Potato

Dessert: Mango Sunset

We are extremely proud of our Paladins for proudly representing our school at the recently held expo. Their culinary mastery and inventive creations across the different categories showcased the talent and culinary expertise of the Culinary Institute of SISFU.
